EVENT PARTNER: DOGGIE DUNNIES
Doggie Dunnies is a Western Australian owned family business and was first established in 2019, for the specific purpose of solving the ever-increasing problem of dog waste going into landfill. Specifically, the separation and collection of dog waste in compostable bags from public waste.
This process and design, allow for up to 99% separation from general waste, for collection and recycling as part of local government green waste programmes, without cross contamination. The options for collection come in four patented designs and allows the units to cater for dog parks, reserves and community facilities of all sizes.
Field results indicate that one average sized Doggie Dunnie can collect up to 50kg of dog waste per week. In addition, the cross contamination from a standard waste bin is eliminated. This translates into over 2 ton per annum per unit which doesn’t end up in landfill, but part of a shires green waste and recycling program. This can only benefit the community and the environment.
All units are West Australian and Australian designed, manufactured and distributed by Woodlands Distributors Pty Ltd, a West Australian owned company and a preferred supplier to local government. With now 1 in 4 Australians owning a dog and now nationally at approx. 7 million companions and one the highest prorate in the world, the potential for long lasting and measurable returns for the environment are endless.
Doggie Dunnie units are now operating in 4 states across Australia, and they offer a practical, simple and visible “destination”, where the dog community can participate and be part of the green solution.
